As a den chief, you're a special kind of junior leader because you're both an active member of your patrol and troop and you fill an important role in the Cub Scout pack. One of those roles is in acting and looking like a Boy Scout. Your example will go a long way toward inviting the Cub Scouts into Boy Scouting when they're old enough. Every time you do your job as a den chief, you're doing a good turn for younger boys who will look up to you and want to be like you.
Here are some ways you might be asked to help. Assist the Webelos leader as requested. Help Webelos scouts earn activity badges, the Webelos badge, and the Arrow of Light Award. Help the denner and assistant denner be leaders. Help with the Webelos overnighter. Help Webelos Scout/Boy Scout activities. Keep in touch with the Assistant Scoutmaster of the New Scout Patrol. And encourage Webelos Scouts to join the Boy Scouts when they are ready.
