Eagle Scout Service Project   Good Turn For America   Spirit of America

An important part of Scouting is Service to Others. This concept of giving back to the Community is something that the Boy Scouts of America feels is important to nurture in young people. This is shown in the Promises and Oaths of Scouts at all Levels and in the Scout Law. There are also Service requirements for rank advancement. In this section you will find a wealth of information in regards to service opportunities. Please look over the list and watch for opportunities that interest you.

Good Turn for America - BoyScouts of America's National Website for tracking and working with service organizations. Detailed tracking of our units service can be viewed on this link. To submit information for the national tracking please contact Mr. Kwak.

The President has said that the challenges America faces are unprecedented, and that we need to build a new foundation for economic growth in America. The Administration has begun this work with dramatic new investments in education, health care and clean energy, but we cannot do this alone here in Washington. Economic recovery is as much about what you're doing in your communities as what we're doing in Washington – and it’s going to take all of us, working together.

Serve.gov is your online resource for not only finding volunteer opportunities in your community, but also creating your own. Use Serve.gov to help you do your part. America’s foundation will be built one community at a time – and it starts with you.

America's Promise Alliance  - Founded in 1997 with General Colin Powell as Chairman and chaired today by Alma Powell, America’s Promise Alliance is a cross-sector partnership of more than 300 corporations, nonprofits, faith-based organizations and advocacy groups that are passionate about improving lives and changing outcomes for children. We have made a top priority of ensuring that all young people graduate from high school ready for college, work and life. Our work involves raising awareness, encouraging action and engaging in advocacy to provide children the key supports we call the Five Promises: Caring adults, Safe Places, A Healthy Start, An Effective Education and Opportunities to Help Others.

THE HOMETOWN U.S.A. AWARD is a joint program between Keep America Beautiful Inc. (KAB) and the Boy Scouts of America. It is designed to give recognition to the outstanding efforts of Scouts in their communities in regard to citizenship and environmental improvement.
K
AB was founded in 1953 as a private organization with the purpose of building and sustaining a national cleanliness ethic. The Boy Scouts of America has been affiliated with KAB for more than thirty years as a member of KAB's national advisory council, a program advisory body composed of more than eighty public service organizations and federal agencies.
Keep America Beautiful Day, which began in 1971 as "Scouting Keep America Beautiful Day," was originally cosponsored by KAB and Boy Scouts of America as a massive national cleanup and recycling program. Millions of Scouts still turn out annually to participate in similar activities during what is now called Keep America Beautiful Week. ….More
